Greetings all!

First of all I would like to thank Gudrun for pointing me to this forum, but I was afk at the time and when I came back she was offline already, so I'll have to say my thanks here :)


Ok, the reason I wanted to contact Mayteks is because there might be a huge problem with a WP base inside Delta Proxima...

It seems that there is some kind of limit for the amout of structures inside one system (could be based on the polygon limit or something)
...

But I myself have zero coding knowledge so I'll just post the email [WP]Typhoon (our coder, currently working on the WP Base) send me...

I hoped Mayteks would maybe know something mroe about this, maybe even how to solve it, since from what I heard he/she is also the one who created all those truly magnificent bases all around Delta Proxima ^^ but if someone else could give us some info about this please by all means, contact us!

ps: he created the base by taking a copy of the EG Main HQ mod and building the base in Delta Proxima... I can send this version of the mod to anyone hwo want to take a look at it to find out what's wrong, just ask me...
He uses the version of Delta Proxima from before the addition of Crying Devil's HQ, the experimental power station and Santier's hut though... so that count of 385 is all objects of all OEG bases in the system, + the (unfinished) WP Base, but without those new bases...

If anyone can solve this, then please help us! otherwise we might need to solve this some other way, for example by having the base build in another system...

Hi Aesthir.

We didn't see Mayteks a long time. So people who working whith DP mod now are Karpen and me.
It's will better if Typhoon will register on our forum to talk about new WP bases here with us all at once.

ps: plz sent yuors mod to songoku@yandex.ru or karpen@list.ru for test.

Hi, Aesthir, good to see you here! I wanted to say too that Mayteks doesnt interesting in FL more, about 1 year... But we hope other ppl will help you... Need some time.

well, cant tell you much more than i said in the email i send to aesthir...
2 things:
i took the living-towers from the other OEG bases out (no don't worry, just for testing :D ), and tried to add towers to the WP base -> crash, didn't work.
i added other objects to the base -works.
...

has anybody got an idea?

Results of test:

1. when i make a new char i have appears in the senter of system :S when i change start base to Cl01_01 it happend again.... some bug
***when i launch to space from new base - all is ok

2. this files CAN'T be changed:
- asteroidarch.ini
- solararch.ini
- stararch.ini

Some bugs can apears if player will have different *ach.ini files whith another players or/and server (some players on EG server don't use klient mod). Don't know why, but it happends :S
So it's imposible to add new archetype "wp_shipyard" to solararch.ini to make wp_shipyard dokable. :(

3. now about this towers

We didn't have any crashes, but this towers was invisible(but was possible to shoot and rumming them)

when one tower on height 640 was move up on 100 - they have appears

looks like it was bad idea to put many towers one in another in one place :|

So i try to move and rotate some towers and reach this result

all towers on height 440 was rotated on 180 & moved to height 360:
pos = 1543, 360, 58111
rotate = 0, 0, 180

if move towers little hier - they disappeard again :S

4. why numbers are rotated on 180 on tis dock, is it a joke? ^^

hmm interesting....
first i thought i send you the wrong version, but after unzipping + checking it it turned out to be the correct one..
when you create a new char it starts in the center of the system because i forgot the _base in the mpnewcharacter.fl
sorry for that, it should say

system = Cl01
base = Cl01_10_Base


then you start on the base..

if ppl don't use client-mods they won't be able to come to delta proxima so that problem shouldn't occure, unless they have an outdated version of the EG main mod...
ok, nvm, then i'll take the shipyard out :(
(though it's a really nice place for capships to dock :D )


when i simply start from the base with the version of the mod i gave you both FL + FLserver crash...

when i put semi-colons ( ; ) infront of one of the towers i can launch, ie the game doesn't crash anymore...

for nr 4: no it's not a joke... i don't know why the base inside isn't rotated properly, but i can't see the docks lol.


EDIT:
after moving+rotateing the towers the problem disappeared..
hmm...

thx for your help+support already :)


EDIT again:
i solved the problem by replacing the towers with asteroids...
hope i don't have to change it back again lol

Nah Gudrun I was amazed how good are u at the moment, you can take almost any Jolt player down right now. Except Ronins of course :) but I have a felling u will get Ronin training course very soon :P
